Geovantage was appointed by Tronox to act as independent check surveyors on the Namakwa Sands site in the Western Cape. Our primary responsibility was to verify the accuracy of all concrete works and the installation of conveyor systems for two main contractors, WBHO and Grinaker LTA. This role was critical in ensuring both quality control and construction progress throughout the project.
Our involvement ensured that all surveyed works met Tronox’s quality specifications, reducing potential rework and delays. The consistent use of advanced survey instruments allowed us to maintain accuracy within millimetre tolerances, keeping the project on schedule and in compliance with engineering requirements.
